If you just want faster computer with current SATA hard drive computer I just recommend upgrade your current SATA HDD to SSD. You can feel and find smooth working with new 1 part upgrade with under $100 spent. You also can put PCI Express 1GB HDD(cheapest one $20.00). This will support your CPU and Memory to keep up speed. If you have slow laptop This is perfect upgrade. Because most laptop hdd has 5400rpm You can find much faster computer. Use current 3.5" HDD as extra backup or installation drive.

For New Computer machine, As a local computer geek I assemble many desktop computers and need to find best deal all over the year to keep same price to customers. 3. Graphic card : For even office computer I install PCI E 1GB graphic card, Microcenter, try's has good deal  with mail in rebate. You need to check with visiting $40 for normal, $100 for gaming

4. Case & Power Supply : I have direct manufacturer source. But you can check micro center or Tnsdeals in Anaheim $ 40 - $80

5. DVD RW :  micro center is selling $17 with OEM, NEW 

6. Keyboard & Mouse : China brand cheap at Microcenter $ 15, branded wireless Mouse at Tnsdeals $15 or Fry's $25
